On 1st of February, over 80 guests joined our annual cocktail generously hosted at the Residence of the Consul General of France in Hong Kong & Macao, Mr. Eric Berti. A crucial moment for the development of the Foundation in 2018.

Once again, our annual cocktail proved to be a great success. Companies, donors, volunteers, social workers and board members joined the event. In a series of interviews generously moderated by Kieran Cash from the French Chamber of Commerce and volunteer at the Foundation, guests had the opportunity to meet three faces of the Foundation while learning more about the impact the Foundation has in improving low-income workers’ living standards.

Foundation’s President Jean Baptiste Dabadie introduced last year’s figures and latest achievements to the audience. “From 35,000 meals served in 2016, we reached 42,000 this year” he said. With 35% of coached members who successfully found a better job last year. Insisting on the fact that the project had only 4 years of existence, Jean-Bapiste Dabadie pointed out highly encouraging results.

Kieran Cash then introduced Lee Lee, one of the Mong Kok Centre’ beneficiary. She discovered the Foundation two years ago and explained the sense of this initiative in providing a supporting environment and empowering self-confidence among the local community. She was followed by Thierry Neveux, Asia-Pacific Director of Moulin Roty, willing to highlight the unique opportunity for managers to promote social inclusion and responsibility in Hong Kong by hiring people helped by the Foundation.

An event that introduced 2018 in the most positive manner for the Foundation and its members, committed to have a decisive impact in the months to come.
