The Opening of the 4th Lunch Club

The French Chamber Foundation started the mission in January 2015 with the opening of the first Lunch Club in Wan Chai, we now have four Lunch Clubs in Hong Kong which operate 5 days a week, serving over 200 meals at only HK$8.

On the 13th of October 2016, the French Chamber Foundation opened a new Lunch Club in Kwun Tong, with the help of our partners, the Swatow Baptist Church and Food Angel. The meals were supplied by Food Angel supplies the meals and the Kwun Tong Swatow Baptist Church provides the comfortable environment for our lunch club members. Thanks to Wise Giving, the project went well. It is located on Tsui Ping Road, adjacent to the public housing area.

In December, we had already more than 400 temporary members and 50 permanent members. What is more, 12 members were interested in our job matching services and eventually we had 4 successful matchings!

We are looking forward to the development of this lunch club in Kwun Tong.
